We are partnering with a unique and highly diverse private investment environment to recruit an experienced HR Business Partner. Supporting a portfolio of businesses across multiple sectors, this is a rare opportunity to work within a dynamic, fast-paced and varied setting where no two days are the same.
This role sits within a small, high-performing HR team and offers broad exposure across multiple entities, including estates, commercial operations and specialist ventures. You will play a key role in delivering both operational and strategic HR support, with a particular focus on estate-based operations in the UK and Ireland.
The Role
Reporting into the Head of HR, you will act as a trusted partner to managers across the business portfolio, providing pragmatic and commercially focused HR support across the full employee lifecycle. Key responsibilities will include:
- Building strong, credible relationships across a varied portfolio of businesses
- Providing hands-on, generalist HR support to key operational areas, including estate-based teams
- Acting as the first point of escalation for employee relations matters
- Coaching and supporting managers on best practice people management
- Supporting the full recruitment lifecycle alongside the wider HR team
- Reviewing, developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
- Supporting performance management, salary reviews and talent development processes
- Leading on employee relations cases including disciplinaries, grievances and capability
- Contributing to organisational change, HR projects and people initiatives
- Supporting the implementation of a new HR system
- Managing benefits providers and leading on renewal cycles
- Producing HR reporting and insights to support decision-making
About You
You’ll be a confident and credible HR professional who thrives in a varied, fast-moving environment and enjoys working closely with stakeholders across different types of businesses. We are looking for:
- CIPD qualified (Chartered level preferred)
- Strong generalist HR experience, including complex ER case management
- Solid knowledge of UK employment law (Irish exposure beneficial)
- Experience partnering with managers across the full employee lifecycle
- Strong analytical skills with experience producing and interpreting HR data
- Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel, and experience with HR systems
- A highly professional, discreet and solutions-focused approach
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive, hands-on mindset with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
The Environment
This is a collaborative, close-knit HR team supporting a wide range of business interests. The role offers significant variety, exposure and the opportunity to make a real impact. The position is primarily based in Malmesbury, with regular travel to a local estate site (2 days per week) and occasional travel to Ireland and other locations as required.
