On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Heavy Vehicle / Bus & Coach Tutor / Automotive Technical Trainer. In this role you will deliver high-quality practical and theoretical training to Heavy Vehicle and Bus & Coach apprentices, helping them achieve the required competencies and outcomes. Reporting to the Training Manager, you will support curriculum delivery, assessment, and the continuous improvement of training materials. You will work closely with apprentices throughout their development and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities will include:
- Deliver high-standard practical and theory training to HV/B&C apprentices.
- Provide fair assessments against prescribed criteria and record outcomes promptly.
- Maintain and complete programme documentation and lesson plans.
- Ensure learner outcomes align with awarding body standards.
- Develop and support training materials, schemes of work, and lesson objectives.
- Embed inclusive practices to give all learners the opportunity to succeed.
- Foster a supportive learning environment and mentor apprentices throughout their development.
The Person:
The ideal candidate is an experienced HV/B&C technician with a passion for teaching and a commitment to developing the next generation of automotive professionals.
- Strong background as an HV/B&C Technician in the automotive industry (essential).
- Minimum Level 3 NVQ/ATA or equivalent recognised qualification (essential).
- Knowledge of high-voltage vehicles and electrical systems, including ADAS (desirable).
- Experience delivering training to apprentices or skilled professionals (desirable).
- Level 3 qualification in Education and Teaching or equivalent (desirable).
Salary: £37-40,000
