The Job:
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Functional Skills Maths Tutor to join them in their offices based in Bristol. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and contextualised maths education to apprentices alongside their vocational training. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified teaching professional who can bring mathematics to life by applying it in real-world, workplace settings. You'll use innovative teaching strategies, including virtual classrooms, to ensure content is both engaging and accessible.
Deliver Functional Skills Maths (Entry 3 to Level 2) to 16-19-year-old apprentices.
Use a range of delivery methods to engage learners, including online and in-person formats.
Manage your own teaching timetable, lesson planning, and associated administration.
Support a safe and positive learning environment in line with safeguarding policies.
Teaching qualification (PTLLS, DTLLS, CertEd, PGCE, etc.)
Level 2 (GCSE or equivalent) qualifications in English and Mathematics
Experience of working with young people aged 16-19
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Competence in ICT, including Microsoft Office
Excellent time management, organisation, and planning skills
Ability to teach English Level 2 Functional skills
Desirable skills and experience will include: \TAQA)
Previous experience delivering Functional Skills or similar programmes
Experience in an automotive or vocational training setting
Salary:
Β£28,000
