The Role
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Part Time HR and Trustee Coordinator to provide high-quality HR operational support and trustee governance administration. This part-time role reports to the Head of HR and combines HR coordination, recruitment support, payroll administration, and HR systems maintenance with administrative support for the Trustee body. The role is fixed term until 31 August 2027 and requires a proactive, detail-focused professional who can work effectively across both people operations and governance. The successful candidate will work primarily on site one day per week on Mondays, with flexible working arrangements, and will attend occasional evening or weekend trustee meetings.
Responsibilities will include:
- Maintain accurate HR records, including HRIS data, employee files, and documentation.
- Support HR systems and procedures by updating and improving workflows and related documents.
- Coordinate recruitment and onboarding activity, including advertising, interview scheduling, offer letters, and induction processes.
- Provide payroll administration support by submitting monthly payroll changes accurately and on time.
- Respond to employee queries and provide first-line HR advice, signposting relevant policies where required.
- Maintain HR process trackers covering onboarding, probation, compliance, and workflow logs.
- Coordinate trustee and committee meetings, including scheduling, logistics, agenda preparation, and meeting packs.
- Take accurate minutes, track actions, and maintain governance records and archives.
- Support staff training and development by arranging logistics, attendance records, and training materials.
- Contribute to HR projects and policy updates through data gathering, documentation, and version control.
The Person
Our client is seeking a meticulous, proactive professional with strong organisational skills and a genuine interest in supporting both HR functions and governance processes. Proven experience in HR administration within a busy operational environment. Excellent written communication skills, including minute-taking and document preparation. Proficient in HRIS, MS Office, and document management systems. CIPD Level 3, or equivalent, is desirable. Experience supporting governance or trustee meetings is desirable.
The Hours
Part-time, 24 hours per week. 2 days in the office (Mondays are essential in the office). Fixed-term contract until 31 August 2027.
The Salary
£28,000 - £30,000 pro-rata
