The Company: Our client is an established supplier to the building and construction industry with 40 years of experience. Due to success and growth, they are looking for an additional employee to join their company. They supply the UK's largest housing developers as well as private clients nationwide and offer specialist services and products. Their spacious modern offices are located in Yatton, Bristol, on a 1.5-acre site with on-site parking facilities and within a 5-minute walk from Yatton Train Station.
The Role: We are seeking a Senior or Junior Steel Fabricator to join the team. In this role, you will carry out steel fabrication and MIG welding within a busy workshop, working both independently and as part of the wider team. You will use your technical skills to produce high-quality work to agreed standards while following established quality and compliance procedures.
Responsibilities will include:
- Work to company quality and compliance systems to support UKCA requirements.
- Perform MIG welding (BW, FW, tube to plate).
- Carry out general steel fabrication tasks.
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings.
- Support stock control for materials and consumables.
- Undertake general workshop duties as required.
The Person: For this role, our client is seeking someone who has the following skills and experience:
- 5+ years experience in steel fabrication for senior roles, or at least 2 years experience for junior roles.
- Recognised qualifications in steel fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret general arrangement and detailed fabrication drawings independently.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures in a workshop environment.
- Basic computer literacy, including use of email.
The Hours: Full Time Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
The Salary: £28,000 - £36,000 depending on experience
The Location: Yatton, North Somerset. 100% onsite role. Free Car Parking
