The Job: On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join their team in Warwick and cover the Midlands area. In this role, you will be responsible for managing client relationships and the delivery of day-to-day queries on all aspects of HR, attending meetings on client sites as appropriate. This is a busy and varied role within a growing business which will require a degree of flexibility and a willingness to travel (usually within the Midlands region, but occasionally further afield), with the opportunity for career progression.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Telephone response to answer incoming calls and provide HR advice. You will be required to log all advice calls on our CRM system.
  • Providing an exceptional, timely HR service to our clients offering practical, user-friendly advice.
  • Attending and leading ER meetings alongside and on behalf of clients.
  • Drafting bespoke letters, policies, contracts of employment, and handbooks for our clients, ensuring compliance with employment legislation.
  • Conducting ad-hoc HR projects for clients, such as restructures, redundancy projects, policy development, etc.
  • Account manage key clients with regular on-site support as our client base grows.
  • Delivering training for clients on various HR topics within your realm of experience as and when required.
  • Participating in designing and offering additional services to benefit our clients.
  • Being prepared to travel to deliver on-site support where required.
  • Generally supporting colleagues to enhance their own HR development.
  • Ensuring client targets and deadlines are met.
  • Maintaining CPD and enhancing employment law knowledge by attending regular CIPD events, legal updates, etc.

The Person: For this role, our client is seeking the following skills and experience:

  • CIPD qualified to level 5 or above is essential.
  • A good breadth of generalist HR experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the particular issues and challenges faced by SMEs.
  • Sound knowledge of employment law and a commitment to keeping up to date with legislative changes.
  • Excellent customer care skills.
  • Excellent written English, good numeracy skills, and an ability to be accurate even at speed.
  • Good administrative skills and IT literate.
  • Great organiser and communicator, with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
  • Enjoy problem solving and be able to demonstrate sound judgement to deliver solutions that fit.
  • Keen to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Car owner and a full driving licence essential.
  • Enjoy working as part of a small close team.

The Hours: Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm (37.5 hours)
