Our client is a leading IT solutions provider based in Bristol. The organisation is a major consumer of cloud services in Azure and Microsoft 365, supporting over 50 customers. The Role
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer & Escalation. In this role you will support and maintain an existing managed IT support client base while helping to develop and deliver new requirements. You will act as a senior engineer within the service desk, providing technical escalation support.
Responsibilities within this role will include:
- Act as a technical escalation point to the IT service desk.
- Assist with pre-sales technical support activities.
- Provide technical support via support tickets and email.
- Answer incoming support calls when required.
- Complete BAU activities such as vulnerability management, patching, and backend systems troubleshooting.
- Act as the primary technical lead in the event of a priority-one incident for a customer.
- Train other members of the service desk and assist non-technical staff with support issues.
The Person
The ideal candidate is eager to learn and develop their skill set, with strong analytical thinking and the ability to manage and prioritise workloads. Ideally you would have worked for an MPS but it's not essential.
Key requirements include:
- Experience working with Azure platform and cloud-based systems as well as Microsoft 365.
- Strong technical experience with Microsoft Server operating systems and core applications.
- Strong skills supporting Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, and Remote Desktop Services.
- Experience supporting network-related technologies and equipment.
- Your own transport is essential.
- Will be expected to complete Microsoft training, most likely one or all of the following AZ-104, AZ-304, AZ-700, AZ800 & 801.
- Understanding of virtualisation and backup technologies.
The Salary
Β£45,000 - Β£50,000 depending on experience.
The Hours
Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm, hybrid working pattern with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
