The Role

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Community & Project Engagement Coordinator. This role sits at the heart of a major construction project in South Bristol, with a strong emphasis on local employment, education partnerships, and meaningful community engagement. The position involves working closely with the HR Manager to deliver local labour and community commitments linked to the project.

Responsibilities within this role will include:

  • Lead the delivery of local employment and skills commitments linked to the project.
  • Track progress and share regular updates with the wider project team.
  • Build strong relationships with local authorities, schools, colleges, and training providers.
  • Organise and host site visits, careers events, and community engagement activities.
  • Work closely with contractors to encourage meaningful involvement in local initiatives.
  • Act as an ambassador for the project at external events and community forums.
  • Support inclusive employment and diversity-focused initiatives on site.

The Person

You will be organised, proactive, and genuinely passionate about creating opportunities for people and communities.

We are looking for someone who meets the following criteria:

  • 2+ years experience in community engagement, HR, employability, or project coordination.
  • HR qualification welcome, but not essential.
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills.
  • Confident, friendly communication style.
  • Full driving licence.

The Salary

£30-35,000 pro-rata

The Hours

24-month fixed-term contract. 2035 hours per week across 5 days, with flexibility around events and site activity.

The Location

Based in South Bristol / North Somerset, with monthly travel to Belfast.
