It is a fun, open plan environment that is based in Basingstoke, a company who are focused on service delivery and service excellence.

In this role you will lead and manage the Recoveries function, driving cost effective debt recovery and minimising company loss. You will manage a team of Recoveries Specialists and oversee processes that maximise funds recovered across the portfolio, including joint venture activities.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and manage team performance, modelling the behaviours required to achieve department KPIs.
  • Ensure effective training, development and individual coaching of Recoveries Specialists, building a succession plan for future business needs.
  • Monitor, enhance and adapt the Recoveries strategy and processes in line with trends identified through internal and external data sources.
  • Collaborate with and challenge approved external collection agencies, tracing agents and solicitors to deliver effective, value for money services in line with agreed statements of work.
  • Ensure appropriate metrics and reporting are in place to measure and manage third party performance.
  • Embed and maintain a caseload monitoring process to ensure recoveries activities are conducted effectively and consistently across the team.
  • Project manage and progress higher value and more complex arrears and recovery cases.
  • Lead the provisioning process in line with policy and in collaboration with other departments, implementing the write off policy and ensuring effective reporting.
  • Complete required controls and audits to confirm adherence to regulatory and procedural requirements, taking prompt action where risks are identified.

The Person: The ideal candidate is a proactive, hands-on leader with strong people-management skills and a deep understanding of collections and recoveries within a regulated environment. Proven experience leading a team in a collections or recoveries environment. Demonstrated ability to manage complex recoveries activities and drive performance against KPIs. Strong understanding of legal processes and regulatory requirements relating to non-performing loans. Confident analysing data and reviews to inform strategy and improve recovery outcomes.

The Location: Basingstoke, near the train station

The Pay: £45-50,000 + £4k bonus

The Hours: Full time, 8:45 am 5:15 pm Monday to Friday (shift system 8:00 am 6:00 pm)
