We are seeking an experienced and motivated Claimant Personal Injury Lawyer to join this expanding department. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor, legal executive, or experienced fee earner looking to manage a varied caseload and progress their career within a dynamic firm.

The Role

You will manage a caseload of claimant personal injury matters from inception through to settlement or trial. The caseload may include:

  • Road traffic accident claims
  • Employers’ liability claims
  • Public liability claims
  • Serious injury matters
  • Fast-track and multi-track litigation

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a full caseload of claimant personal injury files
  • Conducting liability and quantum investigations
  • Drafting legal documents and correspondence
  • Negotiating settlements with insurers and third parties
  • Instructing counsel and medical experts
  • Preparing cases for litigation and trial where necessary
  • Ensuring compliance with CPR and relevant protocols
  • Maintaining accurate case management records
  • Delivering high levels of client service throughout the claims process

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor, CILEx, or experienced Personal Injury Fee Earner
  • Minimum 5 years’ PQE handling claimant personal injury claims
  • Strong knowledge of personal injury litigation and CPR
  • Experience managing litigated files independently
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Desirable

  • Experience with serious injury or catastrophic injury claims
  • Advocacy experience
  • Knowledge of MOJ Portal claims
