We're hiring a Conveyancing Auditor to join a growing legal services business — supporting the Head of Department in maintaining compliance, quality, and risk management across the conveyancing function. This is a hands-on role for someone who knows conveyancing inside out and wants to use that experience to drive standards, not just manage files.
What you'll be doing:
- Conducting regular file reviews to ensure compliance with internal procedures, regulatory requirements, and best practice
- Supporting the HoD in monitoring adherence to CLC and SRA regulatory obligations
- Identifying risks, compliance issues, and procedural concerns — and escalating appropriately
- Preparing audit summaries and tracking actions arising from file reviews
- Supporting process and compliance improvements across the department
- Helping prepare the team for regulatory reviews and internal audits
- Promoting a strong compliance culture within the conveyancing team
What we're looking for:
- 5+ years fee-earning experience in an SRA or CLC regulated environment
- Confident challenging constructively and influencing decisions at department level
- Highly organised, detail-driven, and professional
- Strong written communication and proofreading skills
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- High degree of discretion and confidentiality
