We're hiring a Compliance Advisor to join a specialist property law business — a role that goes well beyond box-ticking. You'll actively monitor, assess, and strengthen compliance practices across the firm, working closely with senior leadership and the wider compliance function.

What you'll be doing
- Compliance & Advisory
- Conducting regular monitoring reviews across departments against CLC/SRA, AML, and GDPR requirements
- Acting as the first point of contact for compliance queries — practical, timely, accurate
- Identifying emerging risks and recommending mitigation strategies
- Risk & Governance
- Supporting the development and improvement of compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures
- Maintaining and enhancing the firm's risk register
- Investigating potential breaches and incidents with appropriate escalation and documentation
- Audits & Reporting
- Leading and supporting internal audits, file reviews, and compliance assessments
- Preparing detailed reports on findings, trends, and recommendations
- Supporting regulatory inspections and external audits
- Monitoring compliance KPIs and reporting to senior leadership
- Regulatory Processes
- Owning AML, CDD, and KYC processes
- Monitoring regulatory changes and communicating updates across the business
- Maintaining accurate, auditable compliance records
- Training & Culture
- Supporting delivery of compliance training programmes
- Promoting a culture of ethical behaviour and regulatory awareness
