The Role
You will take responsibility for a varied caseload of personal injury matters, running files from inception through to settlement or trial. The caseload spans a broad range of claim types, giving you real variety and the opportunity to develop expertise across multiple areas of personal injury law.
Your caseload will include:
- Road traffic accident claims
- Employers' liability claims
- Public liability claims
- Serious injury matters
- Fast-track and multi-track litigation
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a full caseload of personal injury files from instruction to resolution
- Conducting thorough liability and quantum investigations
- Drafting legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence to a high standard
- Negotiating settlements with insurers and opposing parties
- Instructing and working alongside counsel and medical experts
- Preparing cases for litigation and trial where required
- Ensuring full compliance with CPR and relevant pre-action protocols
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case management records
- Providing an exceptional standard of client service at every stage of the claims process
What We Are Looking For
Essential Requirements
Desirable Experience
- Qualified Solicitor, CILEx, or experienced Personal Injury Fee Earner
- Minimum 5 years' PQE handling personal injury claims
- Strong knowledge of personal injury litigation and CPR
- Proven experience managing litigated files independently
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Experience with serious or catastrophic injury claims
- Advocacy experience
- Knowledge of MOJ Portal claims
