Alexander Lloyd is working in partnership with an award-winning independent professional trustee firm and part of an integrated group of independently owned companies. Since their inception, our client has grown to become one of the largest independent professional trustee companies in the UK, offering expert management for Pension schemes.
Our client offices a flexible hybrid working arrangement of 2x days per week in the London or Leeds office.
About the role:
As a Senior Pensions Manager, the successful candidate will be working as part of the outsourced pensions management and scheme secretarial team. Acting as the lead, managing a portfolio of clients and managing the day-to-day delivery of services to those clients. Key responsibilities will involve:
- Lead and oversee the project management of a portfolio of pension schemes and specific projects being undertaken.
- Oversee delivery of scheme secretarial and scheme governance tasks.
- Assist with refinement of pension management processes.
- Monitor budgets and ensure recovery and profitability.
- Act as a line manager, setting team objectives, giving feedback, appraising performance and addressing performance issues, support colleagues with professional development.
- Assist with new business activity such as identifying new business development opportunities, lead on new business pitches, deliver on client seminars, writing blogs and articles for marketing purposes.
Experience required:
- Strong Defined Benefits background, with scheme secretarial and governance experience ideally.
- Strong technical understanding of pension legislation, regulations, and other relevant legislation including scheme management and compliance.
- Project management experience, ability to prioritise and work to client deadlines.
- Current team / line management experience.
- Experience of new business activity including new business pitches, networking and attending industry events.
