Alexander Lloyd is working in partnership with a leading pensions consultancy currently seeking a Principal Pensions Administrator to join their growing BAU Admin team. This is a standout opportunity to take ownership of some of the most complex and rewarding challenged in Defined Benefits pensions administration. This is an exciting opportunity which can offer an interesting working environment which will allow you to build a rewarding career. This is a hybrid working role aligned to the Manchester office, 2 days a week in the office, with home working. About the role: In this role, you’ll act as the main point of contact for trustees and advisers, ensuring schemes are managed with precision, regulatory compliance, and exceptional client service. You’ll bring together your technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and commercial acumen to oversee entire schemes, authorise complex cases, and mentor colleagues. From presenting at trustee meetings to leading key projects such as GMP equalisation, buy in’s and buy-outs, this is a role where your impact will be both visible and valued. You’ll also play a strategic part in business development by nurturing client relationships and contributing to new opportunities. Key skills and experience required: A minimum of 8 years’ experience in DB pensions administration, with proven expertise in complex and technical cases. In-depth knowledge of UK pensions legislation, regulation, and code of practice. Strong client relationship management skills, including attendance of trustee and client meetings. Experience of leading on projects such as GMP equalisation, buy-in’s, buy-outs, scheme wind-ups Ability to mentor, guide, and support colleagues across the BAU Admin team. Commercial awareness and confidence to be able to support with new business development activity.
