Job Description
We're looking for a Pensions Transition Manager to join a rapidly growing De-Risking function. In this pivotal role, you'll ensure the smooth and successful transition of Pension schemes, guiding clients and stakeholders through complex projects with clarity and confidence.

What You'll Be DoingAs a trusted partner, you'll lead multiple scheme transitions at any one time, managing projects of varying size and complexity. You'll bring structure, clear communication, and strong relationship management to every stage of the process.
Your role will include:

Project managing transactions from exclusive appointment through to completion, ensuring timelines and expectations are met.

Liaising with scheme administrators, trustees, and EBCs to coordinate responsibilities and drive delivery.

Gathering, validating, and analysing scheme data to ensure accuracy and smooth handovers to the implementation team.

Building and maintaining strong client relationships, attending Trustee meetings, and supporting clients throughout their de-risking journey.

Collaborating with internal teams to manage trustee queries, while supporting with operational tasks such as payroll funding, member calculations, and reinsurance reporting.

Providing clear updates on progress, challenges, and next steps to all stakeholders involved.
What We're Looking ForWe're seeking someone who thrives on collaboration, enjoys problem-solving, and can keep complex projects on track. You'll need to bring:

Strong experience in the DB pensions or DB de-risking market, with knowledge of buy-ins, buy-outs, or broader de-risking strategies.

Proven project management and/or relationship management experience (formal qualifications like Prince2, Agile, or APM are a bonus).

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.

Confidence in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyse and validate data effectively.

Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
