Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and finalize statutory accounts and tax returns for small-to-medium-sized businesses, ensuring compliance and precision.
- Take accountability for client workflows, providing high-level technical oversight and advisory where required.
- Support audit engagements as needed, utilising prior audit experience to add value to the firm's service offerings.
- Conduct regular client communication and manage day-to-day relationships with confidence and autonomy.
- Utilise and leverage modern accounting software and systems to optimize client deliverables.
- Drive practice efficiencies by maintaining high standards of accurate and timely file production.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience working within a small or medium-sized public practice environment is essential.
- Strong technical expertise in statutory accounts preparation and general practice compliance.
- Audit experience is highly advantageous but not strictly mandatory (strong accounts bias required). The successful candidate can be purely accounts based with no audit work - as the role can be tailored around their experience/skill set.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trusted, long-term relationships and confidently manage clients.
