We are seeking a reliable and skilled Removal lorry Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting customers' goods to various locations throughout the UK, while ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service.
Duties:
- Drive a Luton van, 7.5 tonne lorry, 12 tonne lorry or 18 tonne lorry to undertake domestic removals throughout the UK.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload customers' belongings, ensuring proper securing of loads for safe transport.
- Communicate effectively with the office and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
Requirements:
- Valid commercial driving licence (C) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a Removals driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with customers and team members.
- Ability to lift heavy items as required during loading and unloading processes.
