A well-established, expanding specialist vehicle manufacturing company is looking to bring on an Operations Manager to oversee the production of their products from their head office in the West Midlands. Responsibilities:

  • Managing the operations/production team from the company’s factory in the West Midlands
  • Ensuring the optimal use of resources to deliver high-quality vehicles on time and within budget
  • Driving the efficiency of operations and ensuring that continuous improvement is a part of the team’s culture
  • Overseeing production, quality, planning, stock control and facilities management within the operations department
  • Setting annual budgets and being responsible for the overall P & L for the operations department
  • Writing monthly reports and carrying out all related and necessary administrative tasks

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a senior operations management position within a specialist vehicle manufacturing environment
  • Experience can come from industries such as Commercial Vehicles, Material Handling, Construction Equipment or similar
  • Demonstrated previous success within a similar position and strong management skills
  • Highly analytical and determined to hit KPI’s
  • Must be based within commutable distance of the company’s head office in the West Midlands as the role will be entirely site-based
