ALEXANDER JAMES RECRUITING is currently working with an international supplier of heavy material handling equipment who are looking to employ a new field-based engineer to service their client base across Essex and the South. Responsibilities:
- Servicing a fleet of heavy material handling equipment to include straddle carriers.
- Servicing forklift trucks and other material handling equipment.
- Developing a knowledge of a wide variety of equipment within a technically developing fleet.
- Reporting to the Service Manager to ensure all equipment servicing is carried out efficiently.
- Working alongside the site-based engineering team.
Requirements:
- The company have a preference for an individual from a crane or forklift truck background, but this is not essential.
- The company are open to considering candidates from other backgrounds including plant, powered access and other related sectors provided you have strong hydraulics and pneumatics experience and an NVQ level 3.
- You will be efficient in reading schematic drawings and be ready to get to grips with new, complex equipment.
- The role is physically demanding and requires the individual to be prepared for this.
- In terms of location, you will need to be based in Essex or within reasonable commutable distance.
