A well-established manufacturer of a specialist forklift product is looking to recruit a new workshop engineer to service their hire fleet of forklift trucks from the depot in Redditch. Responsibilities:
- Servicing a rental fleet of specialist forklift trucks from the company’s depot in Redditch
- Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
- Servicing other material handling equipment as and when required
- Completing pre-delivery inspections of specialist forklifts before going out for hire
- Cooperating with the Service Manager and Workshop Manager to ensure service is carried out efficiently
- Maintaining a safe and tidy workbench and overall workshop
Requirements:
- The company has a preference for an individual from a forklift truck background but this is not essential.
- The company is open to considering candidates from other backgrounds including plant, powered access, commercial vehicles, automotive or similar sectors provided you have strong hydraulics, electrical and mechanical experience.
