A well-established, expanding material handling company is looking to recruit a new field-based forklift service engineer to service their client base across Oxfordshire and the surrounding areas. With a competitive salary and overtime opportunity plus numerous other benefits, this is a great opportunity for an experienced forklift engineer or an individual from another background interested in a new role.

Responsibilities

  • Servicing a client base across Oxfordshire with a focus on servicing a fleet of specialist forklift trucks.
  • Reporting to the Service Manager to ensure all equipment servicing is carried out efficiently.
  • Working alongside the rest of the engineering team to maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Developing a knowledge of the company’s customer base and representing the company in the right manner when attending customer sites.
  • Attending the workshop from time to time and occasionally working on call.

Requirements

  • The successful candidate will ideally have a strong background in engineering within the Material Handling industry, but this is not essential.
  • Open to candidates with backgrounds in Agriculture, Construction, Commercial Vehicles or Automotive.
  • Preference for candidates that have a strong understanding of hydraulics and are able to work well on their own initiative.
  • Based in Oxfordshire or reasonable commutable distance since the customers are based in this region with some requirements further afield.
