Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a well-established supplier of various types of industrial solutions including loading bay solutions and industrial doors. They are looking to bring on a field base technician to cover South Birmingham and the surrounding areas. With a competitive base salary and numerous other benefits, this is a great opportunity for an engineer with a strong mechanical/electrical background. Responsibilities Servicing the company’s products in and around the South Birmingham area as well as further afield when required Fixing/maintaining industrial doors and loading bay products Working on the company’s other products to include wheel locks, industrial fans and barriers Working alongside the rest of the engineering team to maintain a high level of customer service Developing a knowledge of the company’s customer base and representing the company in the right manner when attending customer siteRequirements The company have a preference for candidates with experience of fixing mechanical and electrical faults on industrial doors and loading bay equipment but this isn’t essential. They would consider any applicants that have both strong mechanical/electrical experience coupled with relevant qualifications and a strong work ethic. Due to the requirements of the role, you will need to hold a full, clean driver’s license. In terms of location, you will need to be based in the South Birmingham area, including Solihull, Bromsgrove and Redditch, due to the location of the customer base you will be servicing.
