A well-established, expanding material handling company is looking to recruit a new field-based forklift service engineer to service their client base across the North West. With a competitive salary & overtime opportunity plus numerous other benefits, this is a great opportunity for an experienced forklift engineer or an individual from another background interested in a new role.
Responsibilities
- Servicing a client base across the North West areas with a focus on servicing a fleet of forklift trucks
- Reporting to the Service Manager to ensure all equipment servicing is carried out efficiently
- Working alongside the rest of the engineering team to maintain a high level of customer service
- Developing a knowledge of the company’s customer base and representing the company in the right manner when attending customer site
- Attending the workshop from time to time and occasionally working on call
Requirements
- The successful candidate will ideally have a strong background in engineering within the Material Handling industry, but this is not essential.
- Open to candidates with backgrounds in Agriculture, Construction, Commercial Vehicles or Automotive.
- Preference for candidates that have a strong understanding of hydraulics and are able to work well on their own initiative.
- Based in the North West since the customers are based in this region with some requirements further afield.
