Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a well established manufacturer of steel based partitioning, ceilings, doors and related products seeking a Business Development Manager to operate on a national basis developing the customer base. With a competitive salary and uncapped commission potential this is a great opportunity for a driven sales professional from a background of selling into construction or manufacturing seeking a new opportunity. Responsibilities Manage and develop a customer account basis on a national basis with a key focus on the Midlands and South of England Business development across the same area Generate new business by visiting customers on site, conducting site surveys and providing customer quotes for partitioning & other steel fabricated products Providing a consultative sales approach in order to win new business and work with a variety of sectors within construction & manufacturing Create monthly sales reports to present and discuss with company DirectorsRequirements There is a natural preference for a sales professional who has worked with partitioning, steel/fabrication, racking/storage or similar though this is not essential. You will be a motived and driven individual who has some experience of selling into manufacturing or construction in some form. You will ideally have previous experience of having conducted site survey’s and creating quotations. Ultimately, you must be a sales and customer service focused professional with the ambition to progress into a more responsible role. In terms of location, you can within reason be based anywhere across England though there is a preference for the Midlands or south where much of the companies customer base is.
