A well-established supplier of various types of electric vehicles and lifting equipment is looking for a new field-based service engineer to service their client base across the North West. With a competitive salary and additional benefits, this is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer from electric vehicles, material handling, sweepers or related sectors interested in a new role.

Responsibilities:

  • Servicing a client base across the North West with a focus on servicing electric trucks, road vehicles, tuggers and other specialist vehicles.
  • Fixing and servicing other related material handling and specialist equipment.
  • Carrying out LOLER and thorough examinations.
  • Ensuring excellent customer service and representing the company in the right way.
  • Attending the workshop from time to time for meetings, training and collecting parts.
  • Travelling further afield as and when required to support other technicians.

Requirements:

  • The company prefers an individual from a similar background in maintenance of either electric vehicles or material handling.
  • An individual from the cleaning equipment sector would also be considered, as would individuals from other sectors with strong electrical requirements such as commercial vehicles.
  • You will need to work well on your initiative, have good customer-facing skills and hold a full UK driver’s license.
  • You must be based in the North West but be willing to travel further afield and do the occasional overnight stay when required.
