Responsibilities
- Servicing a fleet of heavy material handling equipment to include straddle carriers
- Servicing forklift trucks & other material handling equipment
- Developing a knowledge of a wide variety of equipment within a technically developing fleet
- Reporting to the Service Manager to ensure all equipment servicing is carried out efficiently
- Working alongside the site-based engineering team
Requirements
- The company have a preference for an individual from a crane or forklift truck background but this is not essential.
- The company are open to considering candidates from other backgrounds including plant, powered access, HGV’s and other related sectors provided you have a strong hydraulics and pneumatics experience and an NVQ level 3.
- You will be efficient in reading schematic drawings and be ready to get to grips with new, complex equipment.
- The role is physically demanding and requires the individual to be prepared for this.
- In terms of location, you will need to be within commutable distance of Southampton.
