ALEXANDER JAMES RECRUITING is currently looking for an experienced sales professional to work for a well-established supplier of various specialist commercial vehicle & material handling products to cover and develop their client base across the South of England. With a package to include a competitive salary and unrivalled commission scheme within their sector, this is an excellent opportunity for a highly commercial sales professional who has the ability to sell high value equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing an existing client base across the South of England
  • Business development across these areas in selling a variety of specialist heavy/big trucks, reachstackers, container handling & other handling equipment
  • Liaise heavily with an internal sales person to provide ongoing customer engagement
  • Work heavily with the Managing Director to strategically acquire new customers and calculating and achieving high margins
  • Account manage effectively by ensuring customers' service requirements are being met adequately by the engineering team

Requirements:

  • Strong appreciation of capital equipment products and understanding of the nature of the role in terms of a high value, low volume sales process
  • Preferably have experience of selling material handling equipment, agriculture, commercial vehicles, heavy plant or similar
  • Demonstrate strong commercial acumen
  • Able to work with customers over a long period of time and appreciate the technical aspects of the products they sell
  • Ability to work on their own initiative in a strategic manner
  • Ideally based anywhere from the Midlands downwards
