ALEXANDER JAMES RECRUITING is currently working with a provider of specialist material handling equipment who are seeking a new sales person to manage and develop their client base across the North of England. The position requires an industry professional with a strong technical understanding and equally the ability to build strong relationships. Responsibilities
- Manage an existing customer base across the North of England
- Develop this business further by seeking new opportunities within the timber, metal and plastic industries in particular
- Travel to customer site and conduct site surveys to advise and quote for specialist forklift truck products
- Have a strong aftersales focus by liaising with engineers and ensuring service requirements are met
Requirements
- The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of material handling products with a preference for an individual with sales experience within the sector.
- The organisation would consider a professional with an engineering-based background who has the aptitude and ability to move into sales.
- Although the role will involve some account management, the individual will need to have an expectation for targeting new business.
- An appreciation and understanding of lower volume sales as well as longer lead times and longer lease periods must be understood.
- You will ideally be located with good access across the North Midlands and North of England.
