Overview
Warehouse Automation, Material Handling & Racking & Storage Engineering/Technical Specialist across the UK, Europe & North America.
Package – £36,000 – £41,800 basic (Dependent on experience) + Overtime Opportunity + Company Van + Door-to-Door
Responsibilities
- Servicing a fleet of heavy material handling equipment to include straddle carriers
- Servicing forklift trucks & other material handling equipment
- Developing a knowledge of a wide variety of equipment within a technically developing fleet
- Reporting to the Service Manager to ensure all equipment servicing is carried out efficiently
- Working alongside the site-based engineering team
Requirements
The company have a preference for an individual from a crane or forklift truck background but this is not essential. The company are open to considering candidates from other backgrounds including plant, powered access and other related sectors provided you have a strong hydraulics and pneumatics experience and an NVQ level 3. You will be efficient in reading schematic drawings and be ready to get to grips with new, complex equipment. The role is physically demanding and requires the individual to be prepared for this. In terms of location, you will need to be within commutable distance of either Colchester, Essex or Kent.
