A leading integrator of warehouse automation & robotics is seeking a Business Development Manager to help grow a specific business unit. The role offers a competitive base salary and bonus potential, ideal for a sales professional with an intralogistics background looking for an exciting challenge within the warehouse automation sphere.

Responsibilities

  • Work within a specific business unit in conjunction with the VP of Europe to target end-user business across the UK
  • Conduct strategic plans to win new business
  • Work with and network with various third party providers within automation to include ASRS, AMR’s & conveyors
  • Attend customer sites & put together extensive tenders to win business
  • Liaise with the technical team to put together complex, multi-million projects to secure business on large warehouse automation projects
  • Produce sales forecasts and reports and take ownership of the business unit
  • Attend and be a business representative at various industry exhibitions and conferences

Requirements

  • You will ideally be a technical sales professional from within the automation sector with proven experience of winning large projects within warehousing and logistics.
  • It is highly preferable you have worked for an integrator previously with a strong understanding of sortation and picking systems and additional experience of warehouse robotics to include AMR’s.
  • A technical background such as mechanical design or a highly commercial individual with intralogistics experience is also considered.
