Alexander James Recruiting is currently representing an industry leading manufacturer in Fabrication that is looking to bring on a new Design Engineering Team Leader to oversee the design engineering team from their site in the West Midlands. With a competitive package, this is a great opportunity for an experienced Team Leader or a Designer looking to step up in their career.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing all design engineering staff from the manufacturing site in the West Midlands
  • Using CAD software to design and create technical drawings and plans based requirements supplied by the sales team
  • Editing designs and various stages of the process as the customer requires
  • Checking the feasibility of the manufacture and construction of the product
  • Ensuring that all drawings comply with the health and safety protocols set out by the industry
  • Liaising with the sales team in order to ensure the customers’ requirements are realistic

Requirements

You will ideally have previously worked within fabrication, manufacturing and production from a design engineering perspective. It would be ideal if you had experience of leading a design team in the past, but they would also be open to a designer looking to step up. They would also consider someone from another industry provided they have good team leader experience and have used CAD software. In terms of location, you will need to be based in the West Midlands as you will be required to be on the site daily.

  • Up to £38,000 base salary, depending on experience
