A leading manufacturer of AGV’s is seeking a field service engineer to work with clients across the UK. With a great benefits package and earning potential through overtime, this could be a good opportunity for either an experienced engineer working on AGV’s or a forklift truck engineer looking to get into automation.
Responsibilities:
- Servicing a client base across the UK fixing automated guided vehicles (AGV’s)
- Carrying out both routine preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance
- Installing & commissioning fleets of AGV’s
- Working on other related automated equipment as and when required
- Ensuring excellent customer service and representing the company in the right way when visiting customer sites
- Conducting risk assessments and ensuring that projects are carried out to industry safety standards
Requirements:
- Background in either AGV or forklift maintenance
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
- Experience of working in the field
- Relevant qualifications such as an NVQ in vehicle maintenance, a degree in Automation Engineering or similar
- Full, clean driver’s license
- Ideally based in Buckinghamshire or within reasonable commutable distance
- Expectation to travel nationally and stay overnight as required
