A leading provider of industrial batteries and related products is looking for a new Key Account Manager/BDM. Focusing predominantly on the material handling sector, they require a sales professional to develop their present material handling accounts in addition to targeting the end user across the UK. With a competitive basic and bonus opportunity, this is an excellent opportunity for a professional individual to take on a new role.
Responsibilities:
- Take full responsibility for a small number of the company's customer accounts in the material handling sector.
- Additionally target other material handling providers with a big focus on end user customer accounts.
- Provide a solutions-based approach in understanding customer requirements for forklift truck batteries/motive power/motion.
- Form and implement a strategy to ensure customer requirements are continually met.
- Attend various customer site meetings across the UK.
- Develop an understanding of full warehouse requirements to best place forklift batteries through distribution & end user to ensure benefits for the end user.
The successful candidate will ideally possess experience in the material handling industry, whether that is forklift trucks, batteries or other ancillary equipment. However, this is not essential, and individuals with industrial/warehousing experience from another background would also be of interest. Crucially, you must have a strong aptitude for both account management and developing new business through different revenue streams.
