Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a well-established manufacturer of material handling equipment who are looking to add a new Racking & Storage sales specialist to support their material handling sales team with enquiries across the North West, Yorkshire and surrounding areas. With a competitive package to include highly competitive commission and good long term prospects this is a great opportunity for a successful sales person within racking and shelving seeking an industry leading role.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the existing sales team by attending customer meetings with sales professionals and providing knowledge on predominantly pallet racking as well as shelving products
- Carry out racking designs using AutoCAD and other software
- Taking responsibility for overall market share for racking & shelving growth across the UK
- Take overall lead on these products and strategizing ways to win new business in this area
- Conduct site surveys with and without other sales professionals and consult customers on site
Requirements
The successful candidate will have proven experience of working on large projects and tenders in a pallet racking focused sales role. Additionally, you will have the confidence and ability to lead successfully in meetings in order to be the overall expert on racking products and equally work well as a supporting function. Training and experience with CAD designs is also highly preferred with the requirement travel when needed. In terms of locality you will ideally be located within the North West or Yorkshire or even the surrounding areas The role also involves very occasional trips to Ireland though this is expected to be no more than once a quarter.
