Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a leading supplier of various racking and storage solutions looking to recruit a new Area Sales Manager to cover and develop their client base in postcodes across the South East and further afield. With excellent, uncapped commission opportunities and scope for growth, this is a great opportunity for an experienced capital equipment sales professional looking for a new opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Managing an existing client base across the South East from Kent and Essex across to Surrey, depending on your location
- Business development across the same area
- Generate new business by visiting customers on site, conducting site surveys and providing customer quotes for racking and other equipment
- Providing a consultative sales approach in order to win new business in the sales of racking and storage solutions
- Take responsibility for region revenue stream and overall growth
Requirements
Racking experience is by no means essential for the role but the company are looking for candidates who have come from a capital equipment/technical sales background who can also demonstrate a strong sales track record. You will be proactive in your approach to selling and will ideally have experience of conducting site surveys and providing detailed quotations. Knowledge of CAD would be advantageous but not essential. It is essential that if not from racking you will have experience of having dealt with a similar customer base. Experience within forklifts or other material handling would therefore work well. Although the North Kent area is preferable, candidates across to as far as Surrey and North London will also be strongly considered.

With a big focus on both new and used pallet racking there is a lot of scope for earning potential.
