The Place Langshott Manor Hotel is part of Alexander Hotels, a private group of quality hotels of distinction just outside London. It is a 4 AA Star, award-winning Elizabethan Manor House set in 3 acres of stunning grounds with an ancient moat. The hotel features 22 bedrooms and many charming lounges, all with open fires, as well as the sumptuous 2 Rosette Mulberry Restaurant.
The Role
We are seeking Casual Bar staff to support our full-time staff during weekdays or weekends. You can work days and evenings covering our wedding and event functions, with a mixture of shifts available for flexibility. Shifts can vary from 11am – 6pm or 6pm - Late.
Working in our award-winning Mulberry Restaurant (2 Rosette standard), you will serve beverages to residents, business, and local guests. Service covers breakfast, lunch, and dinner 7 days per week, along with exclusive use weddings and corporate events catered for in our restaurant or private dining rooms.
Duties include:
- Preparing the bar/private dining room for service
- Meeting and greeting guests
- Taking guest orders
- Serving food and beverages, including alcoholic beverages
- Making cocktails
- Completing satisfaction checks
- Resolving any service issues
- Presenting bills to guests and taking payment
- Resetting the bar at the end of the shift ready for the next service
- Ensuring work area is clean and tidy before departing
Requirements
- Smart appearance
- Excellent communication skills with a passion for guest service
- Experience within a customer service environment, ideally within food service hotel/restaurant
- A positive customer service attitude; training is available for those with the right attitude who lack food service experience
