£22,801.74 per annum + monthly service charge payment

34.5 hours per week, 5 days, including weekend shifts, earliest start 8am latest finish 4pm

Job Description:

Join our Housekeeping team under the direction of our experienced Head Housekeeper, Inga Zarnowska. Your role as a Linen Porter is to support Housekeeping Assistants by stocking linen, stripping beds on busy days, and clearing dirty linen from guest corridors to maintain the hotel’s appearance. You will work 36 hours per week, spread over 5 days including weekend shifts.

The Role:

Main duties of the Linen Porter include:

  • Stocking linen cupboards in the guest corridors with sheets, pillowcases, duvets and towels
  • On busy days, stripping off beds ready for Housekeeping Assistants to remake with clean linen for arriving guests
  • Clearing dirty linen from bedrooms and corridors
  • Operating in-house machines for some laundry
  • Counting and bagging linen for the laundry company to collect
  • Counting and unpacking laundry delivered each day, pulling out reject linen for return
  • Sorting reject linen in stock from circulation

Requirements:

  • Physically fit with no back problems
