Flexible hours available. Up to £14.24 per hour including holiday pay, age and experience related. You will also receive a service charge payment based on the hours worked each month. Free car parking and uniform provided.
The Place: Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spa, part of Alexander Hotels, a private group of quality hotels of distinction just outside London. 5 Red Star Hotel, award-winning Utopia Spa, 57 bedrooms including the new luxury Cedar Lodge development and a 2-bedroom self-contained Gatehouse are available for guests. Two award-winning restaurants, Reflections Restaurant (2 Rosette x 60 covers) and AG’s Restaurant (3 Rosette x 35 covers), together with a range of conference and banqueting and private dining rooms catering for 8 to 95 guests.
The Role: You will be assisting full-time Bartenders during busy periods, working in our '1608' Cocktail Bar offering food and beverage tray service to spa guests, hotel residents, and visitors to the hotel and spa. Shifts will be available during the daytime, evening, and weekends. The number of hours worked/offered will depend on your availability and the levels of business in the hotel each week.
Main Duties Include:
- Ensuring the Bar is stocked ready for each service period
- Ensuring the Bar and Lounge are well presented ready for guests' arrival
- Ensuring all the pre-preparation for service is completed
- Meeting and greeting guests entering the bar
- Establishing guest needs and order taking
- Preparing both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages including cocktails
- Tray service of drinks across the service areas
- Service of light lunches and snacks in the bar lounge
- Liaising with the Restaurant in relation to guests who are taking pre-dinner drinks and awaiting their restaurant reservation
- Taking payment for all food and beverage served or arranging for charging to resident guests' accounts
- Adhering to the Mystery Guest Standards for the Bar
- Making sure you balance your till and guest charges
- Ensuring the guest areas are left in a presentable state at the end of your shift
Requirements:
- Smart appearance

- Hotel or quality bar experience preferred
- Ability to work daytime and evening shifts including weekends
