Casual Kitchen Porter at Great Fosters Hotel, Egham, Surrey, TW20 9UR. Up to £14.24 per hour including holiday pay. In addition, you will receive a monthly service charge payment based on hours worked, free parking, and uniform provided.
The Place: Great Fosters Hotel is the most recent addition to Alexander Hotels, a private group of luxury hotels of distinction just outside London. A Grade 1 listed building in 50 acres of stunning gardens and parkland in Egham, Surrey. 4 Red Stars, 56 bedrooms across the Hotel and adjoining Cloisters and Coach House. For dining, the Award Winning Tudor Room with 1 Michelin Star and 4 Rosettes, as well as the Estate Grill.
The Role: A cheerful, energetic person with a good eye for detail is needed to assist our Chefs with the smooth running of the Kitchen at Great Fosters Hotel. You will be key to achieving excellent standards for our guests by supporting our chefs with the following duties:
- Completing general kitchen cleaning duties
- Operating the dishwasher to ensure all cutlery and crockery is cleaned in a timely fashion, stacked and ready for service
- Refilling the hot plate ready for service each dining session to ensure guests get hot food
- Deep cleaning tasks as outlined on the kitchen cleaning schedule
- Delivery through all these tasks of exceptional kitchen hygiene standards
- Assisting in providing a safe, secure and appealing environment by adhering to the company Health & Safety Policies ensuring all kitchen areas are compliant
- Assisting Chefs with some basic food preparation
A choice of shifts covering 7am to 3pm or 3pm to 11pm.
Requirements: No formal qualifications required but a good standard of English. Good eye for detail. Energy and enthusiasm to work in a fast‑paced volume environment. Previous employment in a food service business helpful.
