This is an amazing opportunity for a degree qualified Trainee QS who is looking for a role where they will be developed and have a pathway through the business promotion wise. This role is within our Client's lovely offices based in countryside in the West Essex area close to Epping/Loughton/Chigwell.
Trainee Quantity Surveyor Job Requirements:
- Quantity Surveying Degree
- 2-3 years' experience
- Strong numeracy skills
- Attention to detail
- IT proficiency (especially Excel)
- Good communication skills
You will be working closely with the Commercial Manager; with their role & responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following tasks:
Trainee Quantity Surveyor Role:
- Commercial management of projects from Contract Award, through to Practical Completion
- Liaising with Purchasing Dept, in relation to material procurement
- Managing project variation accounts, through to Final Account negotiations/agreement
- Managing subcontractor accounts & payments
- Site visits to monitor progress
- Monthly cost reporting, highlighting potential cost variances & risks
- Monthly Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR)
- Liaising with Clients, Main Contractors, Subcontractors & Suppliers to develop relationships
Trainee Quantity Surveyor - What is on offer:
- Salary: £30-35k DOE
- Hours: 8am-5pm Monday to Friday
- Office based
- Company Pension - Following 3 months service
- Private Health - Following 12 months service
- Monthly mobile allowance
- Holidays: 20 days holidays (plus bank holidays). Holidays increase 1 day per year up to 25 days
