About the Procurement Assistant Role:
Are you super organised, love a to-do list, and enjoy being right at the heart of the action? Our lovely client is on the lookout for a Procurement Assistant / Administrator to join their fast-paced and friendly Accounts & Procurement Team in Kent. You'll be supporting the Procurement Manager with all things admin and coordination β from chatting with subcontractors and suppliers to keeping things ticking along behind the scenes. If you've got a keen eye for detail and a can-do attitude, this could be a great fit for you!
What You'll Be Getting Stuck Into as a Procurement Assistant:
- Talking to clients, suppliers, and subcontractors about upcoming work
- Creating and tracking subcontractor orders and contracts
- Keeping on top of site audits, insurance records, and PQQs (don't worry β we'll explain!)
- Making sure all the right documents are filed, signed, and stored where they should be
- Helping grow and maintain the subcontractor database
- Working with teams like Health & Safety, Design, and Estimating to keep everything running smoothly
- Supporting site staff to ensure subcontractors turn up when they should
What We're Looking For:
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office β especially Excel and Word
- Confident on the phone and great with people
- A background in construction or working with subcontractors is a big bonus
- Brilliant attention to detail and super organised
- Clear, friendly communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Must be happy to occasionally travel to sites with the Procurement Manager
