Remote based - 9 month FTC

We are working with a large organisation undergoing a significant finance transformation programme and are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Functional Analyst specialising in Record to Report (R2R).

This is an opportunity to play a key role in designing and implementing improved finance processes, helping to create a consistent, well-controlled and scalable approach to accounting and reporting.

You'll work closely with finance, transformation, technology and operational stakeholders to understand requirements, design future-state processes and ensure they are practical, clearly documented and ready for implementation.

What you'll be doing

• Lead and support the design of end-to-end Record to Report processes, including general ledger, journals, reconciliations, period-end close, accruals and financial reporting.
• Work with finance stakeholders to understand current processes, identify improvement opportunities and define future-state ways of working.
• Facilitate workshops and discussions with subject matter experts to capture requirements and agree appropriate solutions.
• Translate requirements into clear process maps, procedures, functional requirements and supporting documentation.
• Work collaboratively with technology and operational teams to ensure finance processes are practical, scalable and supported by appropriate systems.
• Help establish consistent processes, controls and ways of working across different areas of the organisation.
• Support testing, implementation, training and operational readiness activities.
• Provide subject matter expertise across R2R throughout the transformation programme.
• Identify process risks, dependencies and opportunities to improve efficiency, control and reporting.

What we're looking forEssential

• Strong hands-on experience across Record to Report, ideally gained within a large or complex finance environment.
• A strong understanding of financial accounting, reconciliations, journals, period-end close, financial controls and reporting.
• Experience supporting finance transformation, process design or implementation programmes.
• Comfortable working with finance systems and translating business requirements into practical system-enabled processes.
• Strong process documentation skills, with experience producing process maps, procedures, functional requirements and operational documentation.
• Confident working with a range of stakeholders, including finance professionals, subject matter experts, technology teams and operational colleagues. xgikmsk
