As a Material Planner within the Procurement team, you will play a key role in ensuring materials are delivered on time, to the right quality, and within budget, in line with agreed production schedules. You will take ownership of material availability for your assigned parts, proactively managing purchase orders, supplier communications, and MRP actions. By identifying and resolving shortages, delivery discrepancies, and supplier issues early, you will help protect production plans and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.
We are looking for a pro-active, detail-focused planner with a positive mindset and a strong sense of ownership. You will be comfortable working with MRP systems, managing multiple priorities, and communicating clearly with suppliers and internal stakeholders. A tenacious approach, attention to detail, and an appetite for continuous improvement are essential, as is a strong understanding of health and safety standards and quality systems.
Bonus if you have:
- HNC qualification (or equivalent experience)
- CIPS or APICS qualification or working towards one
- Experience in a manufacturing or production-led supply chain environment
