Our Vision & Why It Matters
At Alexander Dennis, our vision is to lead the evolution of sustainable on-road mass transportation and mobility.
We design, deliver, and support market-leading buses and coaches that help reduce emissions, improve air quality, and keep communities connected. Every role contributes to that mission whether you’re engineering, driving sales, improving production, or supporting our customers.
What You’ll Do
As Learning & Development Coordinator for our Falkirk and Larbert Operations, you’ll take the lead on organising, scheduling and delivering training that supports our people at every level, from apprentices and trainees to senior managers. You’ll make sure our teams have the skills they need to thrive, from mandatory compliance and health & safety training to technical development and leadership programmes. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you’ll design and deliver engaging learning opportunities, while also managing external providers where specialist expertise is needed. This is a role where you’ll make a visible difference, shaping capability and supporting the future of our workforce.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone with a strong technical background ideally a time-served tradesperson with detailed knowledge of bus bodies and vehicle systems who also has a passion for developing people. You’ll be confident delivering training, highly organised, and skilled at building strong relationships across the business. With excellent communication skills and experience in planning and evaluating training, you’ll be able to balance compliance requirements with innovative approaches that engage and inspire our people.
Bonus if you have: It would be an advantage if you hold a teaching or training qualification, a training and development-related HNC, or are working towards a recognised assessment or verification qualification. Experience managing apprenticeship or graduate programmes, or supporting lean and continuous improvement initiatives, would also be valuable in this role.
What We Offer
Because we know that to deliver on our vision, people have to feel supported and inspired:
Impact : Be part of something that’s changing cities, improving air quality, helping public transport evolve.
Development & Growth : Training programmes, mentorship, opportunities to take on new roles, broaden skills.
Culture & Belonging : An inclusive environment; your voice matters; we treat people fairly.
Perks & Benefits: Competitive salary, pension, wellbeing support, cycle to work scheme, enhanced maternity and paternity benefits.

Safety: The health and wellbeing of our team members, and the safety of our products, are our top priority.
Quality: We strive for excellence in our products, services, and all that we do.
Integrity: We act with honesty, transparency and integrity, treating each other with respect in a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace.
Accountability: We take responsibility for our actions, seeking to build trust and earn a reputation for excellence and reliability.
