What You’ll Do

As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be responsible for providing expert technical support and maintenance for Alexander Dennis products across Scotland. You’ll diagnose and repair faults on a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and hybrid/EV systems, ensuring vehicles are attended to promptly and efficiently. You’ll work closely with customers to provide technical advice and ensure high levels of satisfaction. Your day-to-day tasks will include fault diagnosis, preventative and reactive maintenance, warranty claim support, and ensuring your service vehicle is fully equipped. You’ll also engage in regular training to maintain product expertise and stay up-to-date with all product developments.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a time-served PCV/LGV technician with strong diagnostic skills across mechanical, electrical, and hybrid/EV systems. You’ll be self-motivated, adaptable, and professional, with the ability to work independently and lead a team. A full UK driving licence and experience in commercial vehicle maintenance are essential.

Bonus if you have:

  • High voltage diagnostic experience (EV products)
  • HVAC and hybrid HV diagnostic experience
  • EV driveline (Voith) and EV battery (ICPT 600V) diagnostic experience
  • Experience in upselling retail work and supporting customer requirements
