What You’ll Do
- As a Floor Coverer within our Operations team, you’ll play a key role in the manufacture of buses by fitting floor coverings and associated components to vehicle body structures.
- Working from engineering drawings and work instructions, you’ll ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality and build time standards.
- You’ll work both independently and alongside colleagues, taking pride in maintaining a safe, tidy work environment while contributing to the overall success of our production operations.
What We’re Looking For
- We’re looking for a skilled and reliable individual with experience in floor covering or a related trade, ideally gained within a manufacturing or workshop environment.
- You’ll be comfortable reading technical information, selecting the right tools and materials for the job, and working to defined quality and safety standards.
- You’ll also bring a strong sense of responsibility, an ability to use your own initiative, and a positive team‑focused approach that reflects Alexander Dennis’ values.
Bonus if you have:
- A time‑served apprenticeship in Upholstery, Carpet Fitting, or Floor Covering (including lino laying).
- Experience working within a manufacturing or vehicle build environment.
