Location: Scarborough

Our Vision & Why It Matters

At Alexander Dennis, our vision is to lead the evolution of sustainable on-road mass transportation and mobility.

We design, deliver, and support market-leading buses and coaches that help reduce emissions, improve air quality, and keep communities connected. Every role contributes to that mission whether you’re engineering, driving sales, improving production, or supporting our customers.

What You’ll Do

As a Commercial Administrator, you'll play a vital role in supporting the Contract Team to ensure the smooth and successful delivery of customer contracts.

You’ll coordinate key administrative activities throughout the customer order journey, from raising sales orders and contract documentation through to vehicle registration, delivery planning and customer communications. Working closely with Sales, Account Management, Planning, Manufacturing Operations and external stakeholders, you’ll help ensure customers receive an exceptional experience while supporting the efficient delivery of our vehicles.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and making a real contribution to business performance.

What We’re Looking For

We're looking for someone with excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

You’ll be comfortable working with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word, and enjoy collaborating with colleagues across different teams. You should be a strong communicator, capable of building positive working relationships and delivering high levels of customer service.

We’re seeking someone who is enthusiastic, adaptable and keen to learn, with the ability to work to tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Bonus if you have:

  • Previous experience in an administrative, commercial or customer support role.
  • Experience coordinating deliveries, customer orders or logistics activities.
  • Knowledge of vehicle registration, taxation or DVLA processes.
  • Experience processing invoices and purchase orders.
  • Experience working with ERP, order management or finance systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience working within manufacturing, automotive or engineering environments.

Because we know that to deliver on our vision, people have to feel supported and inspired:

Impact: Be part of something that’s changing cities, improving air quality, helping public transport evolve.

Development & Growth: Training programmes, mentorship, opportunities to take on new roles, broaden skills.
