Overview

As a Field Service Engineer, you'll provide expert technical support and maintenance for Alexander Dennis products across Scotland. You'll diagnose and repair faults on mechanical, electrical, and hybrid/EV systems, ensuring vehicles are attended to promptly and efficiently. You'll work with customers to provide technical advice and maintain high levels of satisfaction. Day-to-day tasks include fault diagnosis, preventative and reactive maintenance, warranty claim support, and ensuring your service vehicle is fully equipped. You'll engage in regular training to maintain product expertise and stay up-to-date with product developments.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair faults across mechanical, electrical, and hybrid/EV systems.
  • Provide technical advice to customers and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
  • Perform fault diagnosis, preventative and reactive maintenance, and warranty claim support.
  • Ensure the service vehicle is fully equipped and maintained.
  • Engage in regular training to maintain product expertise and stay up-to-date with product developments.

Qualifications

  • Time-served PCV/LGV technician with strong diagnostic skills across mechanical, electrical, and hybrid/EV systems.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and professional, with the ability to work independently and lead a team.
  • Full UK driving licence and experience in commercial vehicle maintenance.
  • Bonus: High voltage diagnostic experience (EV products).
  • Bonus: HVAC and hybrid HV diagnostic experience.
  • Bonus: EV driveline (Voith) and EV battery (ICPT 600V) diagnostic experience.
  • Bonus: Experience in upselling retail work and supporting customer requirements.
