What You’ll Do

As a Technician within our Test & Development department, you’ll work as part of a highly skilled workshop‑based team supporting vehicle test programmes at Farnborough and beyond. You’ll work closely with Test & Development Engineers, carrying out electrical and mechanical build, modification, instrumentation, diagnostics, and fault‑finding activities. You’ll be comfortable working independently, reading technical drawings, diagnosing issues, and supporting demanding test schedules. You’ll bring a proactive mindset, strong problem‑solving skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork. Thriving in a hands‑on role where no two days are the same.

  • Bonus if you have:
  • Experience in commercial vehicles, buses, coaches, HGVs, or specialist vehicles
  • Exposure to EV or hybrid systems, including high‑voltage and CAN networks
  • Experience with vehicle instrumentation and data logging systems
  • PSV or HGV driving licence
  • Background in related sectors such as rail, aerospace, marine, mobile plant, or tier‑1 suppliers
